Tell Them
Let each generation tell its children of your mighty acts; let them proclaim your power. Psalm 145:4 NLT
I wonder how many of you fell in love with Michigan weather again this weekend! It was a beautiful short sleeve shirt day on Friday and a blustery day yesterday. Got to love Michigan, right? As we move into this week of celebrating Thanksgiving, hopefully we can give God thanks for the shelter we have no matter the weather outside. The sixth graders have continued to count their blessings each day of the month. If you have not been by our classroom lately, you might want to check out our wall of blessings!
This week the students will help pack meals for Kids Against Hunger. We will start packing after chapel on Wednesday. If you are able to help with this event, we are always in need of adult helpers. This is a great way for us to focus outside of ourselves before the holiday. Students are allowed to wear their Love is t-shirt and jeans for this day. We have memory on Wednesday, the books of the Old Testament. Spelling doesn't count on this test. The week after Thanksgiving they will learn the books of the New Testament. The week we come back from Thanksgiving break we will have a language test on punctuation as well as a test on chapter four of social studies. Book orders were sent home on Thursday. Anyone who would like to order, must hand in their order by the end of the day on December 1st. This deadline will assure we get the books before break. If your order is a gift for your child, please let me know and I will keep it until you can pick it up! I hope that you and your family have a great Thanksgiving.
