Tell Them
Let each generation tell its children of your mighty acts; let them proclaim your power. Psalm 145:4 NLT
I am excited for the new school year to start and to be able to get to know your child. There is something almost magical about the new school year. New clothes. New supplies. New routine. New classroom. Yet, we know of something that never changes. God is the same this year as he was last year. He is the same as when your child started in Kindergarten! I hope that you find that to be comforting as you gear up for this school year or as other things arise in your life. God is the same today as yesterday and will be the same tomorrow! This year's theme is "Tell Them" and it comes from Psalm 145:4. The verse tells us that we are tell all the generations of the great news of God. You are doing that by having your child at Peace! Please keep your child, all students, and teachers in your prayers as we start this year together. Monday, is our Parent Orientation Meeting. The night will start with a general session in the sanctuary at 6:30. After that time, we will move to classroom break out sessions. This is an important night to be able to get a flavor of what the new school year will bring for your child and you! Students do not need to attend this event. Mark your calendars for October 11th through the 13th. These are the dates that we will be traveling to MCYC as a class. The cost for each child will be $135. I will share a lot of more information about our trip on Monday evening. Parents will be needed to make this a great event, so consider joining us or helping with driving. The first assignment for the school year will be for the parents. Below you will find a link for your homework assignment. In a million words or less tell me about your child. You can complete this and bring it with you on Monday or the first day of school. You could also submit it to me via email at [email protected] . These insights of your child help me a great deal as I interact with them throughout the year! If you really want a jump start on paperwork, below is also the parent information sheet that I ask parents to fill out at Parent Orientation Night. Feel free to print it off, fill it out, and bring it with you to orientation.
