Tell Them
Let each generation tell its children of your mighty acts; let them proclaim your power. Psalm 145:4 NLT
Hopefully you are having a great Saturday! We had a productive week in sixth grade this week. We finished the book Holes that we have been reading. I think the students enjoyed the book and seeing all the connections at the end. Monday we will be taking a test on the book. Friday we will be watching the movie in the afternoon. The students will be allowed to bring in a snack for themselves and something to drink. Please no sweets or caffeine drinks!
We also worked on our knowledge fair projects. The students each have picked one of Jesus's parables to study and have started (or finished) writing their own parable. The rest of the work for the knowledge fair will be done at home and the completed project will be brought to school on Thursday, March 2nd. Friday of next week (the 10th) is a regular jeans and spirit day! This is also the day of Peace's Talent Show. This is a great event each year. This year the teachers are getting in on the act as well! Check Panther Tales to see the details and times for the show. I had one parent ask me about what the sixth graders do for Valentine's Day. We will have a time during the day for the students to exchange a valentine or treat with each other. Please remember and be aware of the allergies we have in our classroom. We will have a small snack and that is about it for our party! If your child is sending in valentines, please make sure they have one for each student in the class. We have 20 sixth graders. Here are some of the tests we have coming up in the week: Monday: Holes Test Tuesday: Social Studies Test - Chapter 7 Wednesday: Memory 4th petition and meaning
