Tell Them
Let each generation tell its children of your mighty acts; let them proclaim your power. Psalm 145:4 NLT
Two weeks to go in the third quarter. I really feel like the first day of school was last month, but here we are looking at the end of another quarter. With the quarter ending, I will remind you of some common things. First, any student who has not yet started to say their oral memory, should start. They only have until the 31st to say their memory. Whatever verses that are not said by that day will be zeros. Second, Any student who has been absent in this quarter, needs to work on finishing up any late work. Any student who has missing work, should work on getting caught up. If an assignment is not turned in by the 31st it will be scored as a zero. Finally, the students need three AR books by the end of the quarter. A lot of the students are almost done or done with this requirement, but there are some students who need to get reading.
The students are working on a piece of persuasive writing about their favorite food. If they would like a picture to go with their writing it needs to be sent to me by 9:00am on Monday or brought in on a flash drive. Look for the writing to be in the hallway soon as we start our March Madness Tournament of Persuasion! As we look into the week of the 27th, there are few things to mark on your calendar. This is the week that the Iowa tests will be starting. The sixth graders will start on the 27th. We have the standard tests as well as the cognitive tests to take this year. We will do a few a day as we chip away at them. Please do all that you can do to make sure your child is in school during the testing. If they are absent, we may need to do testing after school. Please also make sure that your child gets a good breakfast and a good night's sleep. Finally, make sure your child has pencils with them in school. The sixth graders with the help of our young 5 buddies will be leading chapel on Wednesday, March 29th. We will be talking about encouragement and we would love for you to join us! Here are the tests we have this week: Wednesday: Social Studies test on chapter 9 Wednesday: Memory - First part of Baptism Have a great rest of the weekend.
