Tell Them
Let each generation tell its children of your mighty acts; let them proclaim your power. Psalm 145:4 NLT
Wednesday is the end of the quarter. This brings a lot of things with it. First, the students have until Wednesday to say their oral memory for the quarter. Some students are done, some close to being done, and some have a ways to go. Also, any missing work (check fastdirect) needs to be handed in by Wednesday. Anything not handed in or any memory not said, will be a zero! Also, the students need to have finished their two AR books and take the tests by Wednesday.
The students did a great job on their book reports and those are displayed in the hallway outside the sixth grade room. I will keep up the reports for at least this week. Thursday is our field trip to Lutheran North for Willy Wonka. Remember this is a field trip with our buddies in young 5's. The sixth grade students are great with their buddies and this should be a great trip. If you are helping with the driving, please make sure that you are at Peace by 9:15. We are hoping to be to North around 9:40. There is no word of the week this week! The sixth graders are going to be reviewing the words we have had during this quarter. Each student is going to come up with a way to show that they understand the meaning of the words. Some students are writing skits, some stories, some creating collages, and a few other ideas. The students are doing a book project again this year. They are creating their own stories and putting them together into a class book. I am going to send home an order form on Tuesday for you to purchase a copy of the book. Please make sure you return this form by Thursday, November 10th. If you are not purchasing a book, please mark that box and return the slip by the 10th as well. Tests this week: Wednesday - Social Studies chapter 3 Wednesday - Memory - 7th and 8th commandments and meanings
